  • Q: Do I need a reservation?
While reservations are strongly suggested, we do accept walk-ins when there's space available. If you know when you'd like to visit, please make a reservation online, sign the online waiver, pay online, and then come in 15 minutes before your reservation time. We also offer 30 min. sessions on the half-hour for $10 (walk-ins only), however, there's no guarantee, there will be space in the lounge.
  • Q: But why…?
A: There’s no shortage of cats needing forever homes. We hope to take some stress off local shelters by fostering eight kitties at a time and eventually finding them good homes. While they are here at Comfort and Joy we will work to introduce and socialize the cats safely to other cats and humans. We also support litter-box, scratch post training (the two biggest reasons for cat surrender). It has been proven that cats can have a calming effect thereby de-stressing people. With the win-win human and cat interactions we feel this purpose driven business will have a positive impact on the people visiting and living in our community.
  • Q: Why do you charge a fee to meet and pet the cats in the “lounge sessions”?
A: We charge an hourly rate, to keep a roof over the cats’ heads, keep them safe, warm and to supply them with the supplies that they deserve. Also, there’s overhead for running the café and paying our employees.
  • Q: What is a cat café? Can I bring my cat?
A: A cat café is a café where visitors can enjoy beverages, snacks and interact with in-house felines. We get our cats from Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) and Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) and all are adoptable on a first come basis. Unfortunately, we cannot host other cats. For many reasons, none of them are because we don’t love your cats.
  • Q: I want to stop by often, do you have a monthly or yearly pass?
A: We are working on setting up a plan. Talk to us about how you think it should work.
  • Q: Can Children under age of 7 come?
A: We do not allow children under 7 years old because it is to stressful for the cats. If you have a special circumstance please call us.
  • Q: Why is there a General Admission Fee and a separate Children Fee if they are the same price?
A: We like to know how old our cat cuddlers are. The price for both is general admission.
